Eight people, including a Libyan national, have been arrested on human trafficking charges
মানব পাচারের সাথে জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে লিবিয়ান নাগরিকসহ ৬ জনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে র্যাব।
গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলো লিবিয়ান নাগরিক সামির আহমেদ ওমর, আব্দুল গোফরান, মিজানুর রহমান, মো. নজরুল ইসলাম, মহিন উদ্দিন এবং মো. সোহেল।
গত ৪ আগস্ট রাজধানীর হাতিরঝিল থেকে লিবিয়ান নাগরিক সামির আহমেদ ওমরকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
পরে ৫ আগস্ট তার সহযোগী বিজয় নগরে সুফি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল লিমিটেডের চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল গোফরান, এমডি মিজানুর রহমান, ম্যানেজার মো. নজরুল ইসলাম, হিসাব রক্ষক মহিন উদ্দিন, ম্যান পাওয়ার এজেন্ট মো. সোহেলকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
র্যাব জানায়, লিবিয়ান নাগরিক সামির আহমেদ ওমর ওয়ার্ক পারমিট ছাড়াই সুফি ইন্টারন্যাশনালের সাথে মানব পাচারে জড়িত ছিল।
গত ফেব্রুয়ারিতেই তার ভিসার মেয়াদ শেষ হয়। তারা চটকদার নিয়োগ বিজ্ঞাপন দিয়ে লিবিয়া হয়ে ইউরোপে পাঠানোর প্রলোভন দেখাতো।
স্থানীয় দালালের মাধ্যমে জন প্রতি চার লাখ টাকা নিতো তারা।
