বিমানের ড্যাশ-৮ কলকাতায় অচল

বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্সের একটি ড্যাশ-৮ উড়োজাহাজ কলকাতায় গিয়ে অচল হয়ে পড়েছে। ৪৬ জন যাত্রী নিয়ে কলকাতার নেতাজী সুভাষ চন্দ্র আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে নামার পরই উড়োজাহাজটির ইঞ্জিনে যান্ত্রিক ত্রুট দেখা দেয় বলে বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্সের একটি সূত্র জানিয়েছে।

ফিরতি ফ্লাইটে যাত্রীদের একটি এয়ারক্রাফটে করে ঢাকায় নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে নিশ্চিত করেছেন বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্সের জনসংযোগ বিভাগের মহাব্যবস্থাপক তাহেরা খন্দকার। তিনি বলেন, প্রকৌশলীরা ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়েছেন। পরে বিমানটি ঢাকার উদ্দেশে রাতে ছেড়ে আসে।
বাংলাদেশ বিমান সূত্র জানায়, সোমবার (২৭ জানুয়ারি) সকাল ৭টায় হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর থেকে কানাডার বোম্বাডিয়া কোম্পানির তৈরি ৭৪ সিটের (ড্যাশ-৮ এজেডব্লিউ) উড়োজাহাজটি ৪৫ জন যাত্রী নিয়ে গন্তব্যের উদ্দেশে উড়ে যায়। কলকাতা আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে অবতরণ করার পর ফিরতি ফ্লাইটটি আবার সকাল সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে ঢাকার উদ্দেশে ছেড়ে আসার কথা ছিল। কিন্তু হঠাৎ করে ইঞ্জিনে সমস্যা ধরা পড়ে। পাইলট অনেক চেষ্টা করেও ইঞ্জিন সচল করতে পারেননি। পরে বিষয়টি ঢাকায় জানানো হলে তখন ঢাকা থেকে ঢাকা-কলকাতা রুটে নিয়মিত চলাচলরত বোয়িং-৭৩৭ ফ্লাইট (বিজি-০৯৬) গিয়ে যাত্রীদের ঢাকায় নিয়ে আসে।
